Scotland and ... thistle

Collar with roses, lace and leash

This story begins with Arianna's request for a personalized collar for her Celine.
Arianna was looking for an original proposal, which would recall lilac, one of the colors of her wedding, to make her four-legged friend elegant and wedding-related.

Often, in the realization of personalized projects, I let myself be guided by my instinct, by my sudden "illuminations" ... and this is the way it was this time too. Looking at the color chart, to find the desired shade, I came across the Thistle.
Thisle is a plant whose flowers are organized according to a perfect geometry and fascinating for their regularity.

What does a thistle have to do with a wedding?

The thistle is never a single flower, but a collection of small flowers tightened against each other, surrounded by thorns that defend them from herbivorous animals.

Just like you do in a family where you huddle together and protect yourself from the outside world!

Staying on the subject of flowers and thorns, why not modify the rose and lace collar?

After all, even if a thistle will never be a rose, there is always a common thread that unites them!
What if the common thread that unites the spouses was their puppy? Why not put the whole family on the collar? If the bride and groom are roses, the thread is their Celine, the thistle flower.
What do you think about it?

Did you know that the nations of Great Britain are all represented by a flower?
England has the rose, Wales the narcissus, Ireland the clover and Scotland ... the thistle!
